The talk will deal with the invasion of the North American fungal forest pathogen Heterobasidion irregulare in Europe. In addition to the introduction pathways, the talk will present the factors that are likely to play role in the invasiveness of the pathogen and strategies and tactics for the containment of the disease, some of which tested in the frame of EU Emphasis project.
Speakers will be UNITO researcher Dr Paolo Gonthier.
The target audience are researchers, agri-business and forestry experts, farmers and foresters and any other interested in plant health.
